Coach Tim has passed all of the requirements for the Level 2 Coaching Certification. Tim joins an elite group of coaches that are responsible for identifying & coaching our nation's future olympians. This will be done from the youth, junior, and collegiate age groups. He will be working closely with USA Triathlon in the future to fulfill this responsibility. In addition, Coach Tim has more knowledge than ever before to work with age group triathletes to maximize their potential and reach their goals.
Coach Tim had the honor of being selected for the 2013 Level 2 Coach Training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. USA Triathlon certifies coaches so that athletes have confidence that their coaches are trained and knowledgable in the field of coaching. There are many beginner level coaches (L1) and very advanced level coaches (L2). This training and certification will put Coach Tim in a very select group that is now qualified to coach Youth & Junior, Elite youth & Junior, Elite triathletes (pro), and triathletes with Olympic aspirations (Continental Cup, World Cup, World Triathlon Series, Pan American Games, and ultimately the Olympic Games).
Coach Tim just returned from USAT's Coaching Symposium in San Diego. Check out what he learned: http://www.usatriathlon.org/news/articles/2012/10/102712-art-science-day-2-recap.aspx
