2012 Snowshoe Race Series
Check out the hottest winter endurance sport in the USA! Challenge yourself to racing in snowshoes. If you are a runner, then you will love the control and traction you gain by running in snowshoes. If you are a triathlete or cyclist, you will love the cross training that snowshoeing provides. If you are competitive, you will love this race series. If you love a challenge, then this is for you. Try something new and fun!

at locations around Cleveland.

All levels of athletes are welcome to participate. You can run or hike the courses. Go at your pace and enjoy a new experience on snowshoes!
No snow? Race will be a trail run.
Campfire (if venue allows), awards, & hot beverages afterwards.
Long track - Mass Start race cross country - Length: 5 to 10k (Venue dependent) - Everyone takes off like a running race and runs or hikes in snowshoes for the distance. First across the line wins. Everyone will be divided up into age groups.
Short Track - (about 1 mile) - Race is in an oval and is all about speed. Just like short track speed skating but on snowshoes! Great fun and a great challenge!
Cost: $20 pre-registered, $25 day of registration, $10 for
second race. Register for each below.
February 12th is pre-register only (park rules).
Race director reserves the right to modify the length or combine fields.
Races will be held regardless of weather.
Prizes for top 3 in each category.
